Default Help!!! Ocm Dt-19

Hello from the USA,

Hello!! I hope someone can help me. I recently purchased 2 OCM cars at a yard sale that were in a million pieces. I believe they are a OCM Kaos DT-19 buggy. It says OCM right on the frame, receiver & battery cover & looks exactly like the pics I've seen.

I really need a manual, body (new, used, painted, unpainted), & whatever info I can get. Can't find anything on Ebay (don't really like Ebay anyways) or anyplace I can download the manual. Can't find anything here in the US that can offer me support & I'm tired of the hobby shops telling me to buy an Associated or an Ofna. Besides, the OCM is built tougher, & it has much better features hands down!!

If there's anyone that can tell me anywhere to get a manual, body (new, used, painted, unpainted), parts or whatever PLEASE let me know!!

Any help is very much appreciated!!!

Hi ProjectSkunkwerks,

If you PM me with an appropriate email address, I will email you the OCM manual which you can then download. As for the body, you best bet in the US would be to go out and buy yourself a Mugen MBX5R body from somewhere local, they can be trimmed to fit the DT-19. If you need any help, just yell and we will do our best.

Cheers

Mike

Default Hello Again!!!

Well, I finally got one the cars built, tested, & setup today!!! I'm happy too, cause it's just in time for our Turkey Trot race on the Saturday after Thanksgiving (28th).

My question is.....I'm using the DT-0099 engine mounts for a non-pullstart (bump start) engine. I'm guessing that's the way the motor mounts are made for. But I've seen in some pics, the OCM DT-19 equipped with a pullstart engine. Is that an custom setup or does it depend on model.....like kit, RTR, & EVO?? I've also seen on the parts list for the OCM DT-19 KAOS EVO a one piece engine mount. Is that for pullstart engines?? Any help greatly appreciated!!!

The motor mounts that you are thinking about are the RTR motor mounts. Stick with the mounts you have and bump starting it. Much better way of doing things. As for a 1 piece engine mount, any of the mugen mbx5 series single piece engine mounts will fit.

If you need anything, just send me a pm.

Yeah mate. I used the engine mounts that come with my car for a while untill i got sick of setting mesh everytime i took out the engine to do maintenance of any type. So, i bought the one piece engine mounts. There much better, as when you pull out your engine, there is no little nuts that move. There are just holes, so you can put the one piece engine mounts in, set the mesh, then never worry about setting mesh again...

So when you pull out your engine, you do whatever you need to do, then just screw your engine back in. EASY! AND a lot quicker.

Its your choice, you can keep the ones you have now, or get the one piece ones...

But yeah, keep the bump-start. HEAPS better way of doing things!

Cheers
